The VIP takes the “Fuzzy” out of the Front End of Innovation.  The centerpiece of the VIP is the Most Important Customer and the unique Contextual Interviewing process we have developed to uncover their unmet, unarticulated needs (see process diagram below)..

We conduct three rounds of interviews with twelve Most Important Customers that are interviewed in pairs.  Each phone interview is one hour long and recorded.  The six first round interviews are transcribed and the transcriptions analyzed to generate “As Is” and “To Be” Value Curves.  These Value Curves define “What” the organization must do to deliver exceptional value to the Most Important Customers.
