At Daugherty Systems, Dick directed the development of the first virtual credit card application for the Internet, implemented for Unibanco, Brazil’s third largest bank in just six months from inception to delivery. The absence of competition in this market space led to an explosion of new customers, customer information and put Unibanco in the forefront of financial transaction processing in Brazil.
Dick’s customer-focused value approach at Deluxe Data radically improved customer service, which lead to worldwide expansion of ATM service, yielding 25% higher gross revenues and 50% higher margins, and reduced team turnover to zero.
Despite numerous naysayers, Dick initiated and led the successful efforts to create a nation-wide EDI standard transaction for the first report of accident for worker compensation claims.
Dick is a CPA, with an MBA from Northwestern University (Kellogg) and MSEE, BSEE degrees from Cornell University.
